Meet Jasmine!
Jasmin is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and Nationally Certified Counselor. She has worked in the mental health field for 12 years providing support for individuals, groups, and families working through depression, anxiety, trauma-related concerns, substance use issues, marital distress, and a variety of other behavioral concerns. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2010, Jasmin worked as an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapist serving children and families affected by developmental disabilities. Jasmin obtained a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020. While working toward her graduate degree, Jasmin served as program director of a residential treatment center for women with trauma and substance abuse issues. Prior to joining the Fresh Start team in January 2021, Jasmin worked as an MST (multisystemic therapy) therapist assisting at-risk youth and their families to overcome behavioral challenges. Jasmin has a passion for helping children, adults, couples, and families to navigate life’s obstacles, achieve balance, connect with others, and live more authentically. Jasmin’s theoretical orientation is based in humanistic psychotherapy, though she believes in an integrative approach based on the strengths, needs, and preferences of the individual. Jasmin enjoys utilizing play-based, somatic, experiential, expressive, and cognitive-behavioral strategies to help her clients identify, explore, process, and effectively cope with their distress. Jasmin’s clients describe her as down-to-earth, compassionate, insightful, and honest. She believes that progress can be made when an individual feels truly seen and heard without judgment. When she is not serving others, Jasmin enjoys being out in nature and traveling with her family and friends.
